By using the double-thumb contact, specificity is combined with the ability to generate sufficient force to move the segment (Fig 12). Similar positioning can be attained on the hi-lo table with a slackening of the tension of the abdominal section. However, the smaller child usually does not adapt well to the adult lengths of the various head, abdominal, and pelvic sections. The pelvic bench usually has a breathing/nose vent at one end and is acceptable for prone adjustments, especially those of the upper thoracic/lower cervical region.
