This paper presents a theory, not previously reported or commented chiropractors, to explain a possible mode of action of spinal manipulation in some patients with complaints that are extremely difficult to quantity, such as visual disorders, dizziness, depression, anxiety, memory problems, attention span problems, difficulty with concentration, irritability, tiredness, and clumsiness. This theory is put forward with the aim of generating comments from the chiropractic profession, and to develop a study to test the theory.
